Terms of Service
Last updated: April 8, 2026
Welcome to Splita. By using this service, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully.
About the service
Splita is a free, lightweight web application for splitting shared expenses among groups. It does not require registration. Anyone with a group's shareable link can view and edit that group's contents.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Splita only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Use the service to record, store, or share any illegal, harmful, abusive, or offensive content
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the service or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools or scrapers to access the service in ways that may degrade performance
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
Your data
You are responsible for the content you enter into Splita, including group names, member names, and expense details. Please do not enter sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, payment card numbers, or passwords).
Because Splita uses single-link collaboration, anyone with a group's link can see its contents. You are responsible for sharing group links only with trusted parties.
No accounts, no recovery
Splita does not have user accounts. If you lose a group link and have not saved it elsewhere, we may not be able to help you recover it. We recommend bookmarking important group links or saving them in a secure place.
Service availability
Splita is provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep the service running smoothly, but we make no guarantees about uptime, data preservation, or fitness for any particular purpose. The service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Splita and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to data loss, financial calculations, or disputes between group members. Splita is a tool to help you track shared expenses; it is not a financial, legal, or accounting service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
